Winning Awards
1st prize in the Llanelli Star Community Awards, 2014, for
'Love your Neighbourhood' Award.
On the week leading up to the Llanelli Star Community Awards on June 6th 2014, we found that Sandy Water Park had beeen nominated and shortlisted for 'The Cleanest Street, Love Your Neighbourhood' award in the Llanelli area.
We were very excited!
Mr. Mark Catterell, Street Scene Environmental Inspection Officer kindly nominated Sandy Water Park for this award.
He said, "When going on my rounds, I have found Sandy Water Park to be one of the cleanest places in Llanelli; a tranquil place with lakeside homes, making it one of the town's more exclusive areas".
Our Secretary and her husband attended the prestigious awards evening on our behalf, held at Parc Y Scarlets.
All of our hopes came true when Sandy Water Park were announced as winners of the' Love Your Neighbourhood Award'.
They were presented with an attractive plaque by Llanelli dignitaries. The plaque has now been mounted and sits proudly at the entrance to our estate for all residents to enjoy.
