Sandy Water Park Residents' Association, Llanelli

About Sandy Water Park Residents' Association

About Us

Many residents were concerned about the overgrowth of trees and shrubbery; the amount of silt build-up around the edges of the Sandy Lake and the flow of fresh water into the Lake but were finding it difficult to have their voices heard.

in the Autumn of 2010 a member of Carmarthenshire County Council met with a few of us to give guidance towards the set up of a small Steering Group with the aim of establishing a local residents' association -  which we have now achieved and are fully constituted.

We have since held successful Annual General Meetings at our local Community Hall, where all residents of Sandy Water Park are invited.

We feel that the residents' association is the best way of effectiely representing our local concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council and other authorities.

Our Aim

Our mission is to promote and enhance the lakeside and environment of Sandy Water Park for the benefit of residents, visitors, the general public and the wildlife.
